Full Version: Home Made Dry Skin Cream
almsthr
This is my own recipe that I have been using for years. Really easy and inexpensive to make. I buy sented lotion that I like at a thrift store or yard sale. Many times you can find expensive brands at a fraction of retail. I make 1 container at the beginning of the winter.

Container of petroleum jelly (store brand is fine)

1 vitamin E capsule per 4 oz. of petroleum jelly

scented lotion

To the container of petroleum jelly add the vitamin E and about 3 tablespoons of the lotion. Microwave for 1 minute, stir, and repeat. Check often as power of microwaves vary! Adjust times according to yours. When you are able to stir easily try a bit of the cooled cream that is on the stirrer on your arm. Adjust scent according to yout taste.

I use this to help with dry skin. I also use it before bed on my feet then put socks on. They feel great in the morning!
