Really easy to make from things that you would probabally throw away. All you need are candle stubs and some sawdust. I make these when I am pre-heating oven or after I have baked something, as not to waste energy.

Line a muffin tin or a baking sheet with foil. Cut up or grate candles into the foil so it is about 1/4 full. Sprinkle sawdust on wax, use a little more wax than sawdust. Place pan in the oven till wax is melted and absorbed by the sawdust. Check very often! Cool in the pan, pop out the foil and peel away the fire starter.

You will learn the ratio of wax to sawdust after your first batch. Use the foil, I found out the hard way!

I like to make this in a sheet as I have a small woodstove and I can break off what I need.

PLEASE BE CAREFUL MAKING AND USING THESE! WAX IS HIGHLY FLAMABLE!
