The Pregnant Man

Is it true that an Oregon man named Thomas Beatie is the world's first
pregnant man? The answer may boil down to semantics.

Mr. Beatie -- formerly Ms. Lagondino -- is a transgender person, born
female, who had his outward features medically altered to achieve a
more masculine appearance but kept his reproductive organs intact. He
claims he became pregnant five months ago via artificial insemination.
Some folks have expressed skepticism and even one of Beatie's own
neighbors in Bend, Oregon has been quoted as saying he suspects the
pregnancy is a hoax, but according to an obstetrician interviewed
on "Good Morning America" transgender males can indeed become pregnant.
We will know for certain in four more months when Beatie's alleged
pregnancy comes to term (in the meantime, Mr. Beatie is scheduled to
appear on the Oprah Winfrey Show on Thursday, April 3 to "tell all").

This is absolutely sickening to me. I am not speechless, but I won't bother going into everything think about. I will say this.. no matter what it looks like, it's not a man if it is pregnant!! That's just the way it is. What is the world coming to? I'm scared for my unborn child at the thought of what kind of world he or she will be growing up in.

This story really irked me when I saw it. Changing your appearance does not make you "a man". I pictured my neighbor who mows with his shirt off...he has some BIG ol man boobs. Does that make him a woman, and if so, shouldn't he not be allowed to go topless in public? I dread the day when my son starts asking me questions about stories like this.
ps. I love my neighbor, he's a great guy, just not bashful!

I feel bad for the child to be born into this screwed up "marrage".
