I just got off the phone with my Dr...

I finally have an answer as to why I hurt and can not move or walk... and when I try my back gives out on me I have got the start of Degenerative Arthritis in my spine... the only thing I can do is take my Tremidol and muscle relaxers and live with it.... but at least now I have an answer when ppl ask me what my problem is. This is not fun as I know some of you all ready know.... and I really detest taking a pill for this and a pill for that... but oh well, I will I guess.

At least you have an answer now. You can reseach the condition and see what you can do on your own perhaps.

MY dh has degenerative arthritis in his back and it is very painful. He was kicked hard in the back yrs ago and I think that is what led up to it. The dr just give him percocets. Not much does good. I have degenerative disk and bone spurs in mine. Standing for long periods or even more for a few minutes and my legs go numb. I know about how you feel. We will keep in prayers. Hope you get some relief.

I am praying for you KS, you sure have alot of pain to endure but with the meds I hope it at least takes the edge off and give you some relief (which I'm sure you appreciate)!

things will get better now that I know what is going on I can do something about it maybe. I have been walking more now that the weather is getting nice here..

ks_thumper, I will keep you in my prayers.Have you tried any kind of a back brace.I have the new kind that has velcro on the front with extra velcro straps I can tighten or loosen.It really helps when you are trying to walk or go to the grocery store.

I will ask my Dr if she can hae one ordered from my insurance that soundslike a good thing. I used to use one when I worked for Wallmart years ago...I remember how much they helped...

I have been walking to and from the library and the days I don't come here. I walk to the Post ofice.... Who Knew Walking could Hurt So Much uggggg.. lol hopefully the dayly walks will help stringhten my back and it will get easier to walk....
