Baking Powder
If you're afraid it's "dead," test by putting 1 teaspoon
into a cup of hot water. If it fizzes actively, use it.
If not, buy a new box.

I never understand why they sell the size container they do it is so much waste if you are not very active in baking to use it up. I am afraid to test my Baking powder it is so old. lol I use it when i need it and my recipes come out fine. I do wonder though. Thanks for the post carol.
