This is what my sister forwarded me from her daughter-in-law in Florida.
"Hi Judy,
Kayleigh weighs 3.1lbs now. Not sure how long she is, but she's still on antibiotics, fighting an infection. They started back on food, 1cc every 6 hours, because her stomach was not digesting it properly and they were concerned about her intestines....but the x-rays came back negative for a blockage, so they're thinking she just had an infection. Today she is getting her eyes examined, a head ultrasound, and x-rays of her lungs. She's way down on her settings for the tube (ventilator) which is really good, they dropped her to 12 and when she stays at 6 for awhile, she'll be able to get the nasal type ventilator and be doing most of the breathing on her own. Baby steps, but she's strong and a fighter. I was upset yesterday because I thought she looked very swallon in the chin area, but maybe she's just developing into looking like a grown baby in that area? (They call taking her off the tube extavating her?) All the nurses are wonderful, Holly and Cherry and Kim and so many more. Kelsey's not feeling well, she thinks she's coming down with a cold, so she didn't go to see her yesterday, but was there Saturday. She calls though, so maybe she'll call Steve after she hears about all the test results. Love you, miss you,
Doreen (hope you like the pictures)"
I will post the pictures in that forum
