I would like to change things just for a bit and just find out for all what your favorite Bible verse(s) are and why.
The Bible is the inspired word of God. The Bible is whole is God's word and is all wonderful for our learning, living and growing in Grace. I am sure all of us have special verses. Some of my favorites are...
John 3:16- For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Roman 10:9-10--That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
These verses and many others just give me the assurance that God gave all he had for me. I don't deserve it but He loved me enough and shows me all He did for me and by me having faith and trusting in His son I will live eternally.
One of my favorite saying is "Let go and Let God"
Luke 12:7 But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.
Luke 21:18 But there shall not an hair of your head perish.
All the problems we incounter daily are nothing compared to what God did and what God gave and if we just let go and let Him, He will see us thru.
I will give anyone who will post their Favorite Bible verse(s) and why 500 TAFFY Dollars just for posting them. Happy posting and May God bless you and yours.

Jeremiah 1:5
“I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb.
Before you were born I set you apart
and appointed you as my prophet to the nations"
Ok This verse is very personal to me. My mother had told me at one point that in so many words I was almost an aborted baby. I have always felt unwanted so to hear this was very hard to deal with. After lots of suicidal thoughts. This verse had came to me. I can't remember how right now. Whether from a sermon or bible study or just from reading. It confirmed for me that I AM here for a reason. Someone did want me. God knew who I was before anyone else knew me. God decided that he loved me enough to let me be brought into this world and convinced my mother to make the right decision. I don't want to step on any toes or get into a discussion of pro-life vs pro-choice. God knew me before I even was. It blows my mind every time I read this verse or sit down and think about it. I know there are countless verses in the Bible that describe God's love for us, but this is the one that truely let me know that SOMEONE not just anyone but God loves me. And if God loves me and saved me then I must be a worthwhile person. I have struggled for many years with depression and anxiety, this verse has helped me make it through the day.

Here is one of mine Patti
Luke 6:37
[ Judging Others ] "Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.
Luke 6:36-38
Jacquelynk,
For many years my mother told me I was an "accident". She was very abusive physically and mentally. Things are said that shouldn't be. I know things like this can hurt, you just have to rise above and go forward. Look at the good things that have come about because you are on this earth with us. That in itself is the reason for your presents. Celebrate what is, not morn what could have been. I am glad you are here!

Amen to both of you. Jacquelyn you are a living a beautiful testimony and you really touch my heart. I am thankful you are here too and more thankful to know you. I know were are just avatars and words to each other but I feel sometimes thats the best way to get to know a person. Thank you!
Carol, thank you also. I really like that verse also, sometimes we are so quick to to think the wrong about a person instead of just listening and reaching out to love our neighbor and just put ourselves in their shoes for a minute. The world we live in today makes being a good person so hard and it does seem no matter what we try to do someone isn't going to like it. It was brought out tonight at church, "you do good someone will criticize and when you do bad someone will do the same. So live to glorified God and give them someone to talk about."
