I can't believe that in chicago they have increased the cost of a city sticker to $75 per passanger car and $120 for SUV's...........
Like Gas doesn't cost enough not a sticker is breaking the bank for some.........

I guess I'm just a good ol' country gal...what is a "city sticker" for to begin with? You mean you have to have "permission" to come into the city?

We don't have anything like that where we live. But I do have a question...is that sticker for parking? I was just wondering because we are coming to Chicago in June and I don't want to park somewhere and get fined.

I agree, not sure what a city sticker is. Before we moved to this city we live in we were adviced not too. It is a really small town too. We were told that you to had to pay to park on the street in front of the houses or in town and residents had to have to pay to even park in their own driveway. They had to have a sticker to prove they had paid. If that is what a city sticker is then Yes they use to do it here but it did stop before we moved here.
Yep its for parking but if your a visitor you don't have to worry. Only those that live in or work in the City have to have one or you get a ticket. Where we used to live, the cop's would drive around a night with flash light's checking windshields for stickers and if you didn't have one you would wake up to a pretty yellow ticket under your wiper blade 
Needless to say we have 3 cars (cry) that get's a bit pricey...
It's crazy as they say the $$$ goes towards street repairs but if you ask anyone about the road conditions right now? They would laugh as the pot holes are huge and are everywhere, would really like to know where all that $$$ goes cause it's not into the streets here......
Either way was wondering if anyone else had to pay for such a thing......
Our gas prices of course are on the new's too as IL has the highest prices in the US now too. Out by me you'll get your regular for $4.29 and your Premium can be $4.65.......
(but who can afford a hybrid)

No stickers where I am, but they have them in the nieghboring town. It is a tourist town, so if you don't have a sticker in certian areas you will get towed. Suppose to be so the residents can park on the street easier.
